Mina becomes the first girl to graduate college - Here is her Story

Wilhelmina Bofla is a 21 year old girl who hails from Aflao in the Volta Region. Wilhelmina Bofla lives with her mother who sells roasted plantain and groundnuts and her father who is a carpenter. Her parents are not financially capable of supporting her education. Wilhelmina attended Aburi Girls Senior High School where she was the dining hall prefect and a member of the Head of State awards. Wilhelmina did a year long internship with Servled Ltd where she saved up funds for her first year university fees. She studied Economics, Geography and Sociology.

This past June 2018, our emergency fund recipient Wilhelmina became our 6th student to graduate from college - the University of Cape Coast. She is the first girl in her family to go to and through college. She is now doing her national service at AFB. We are so proud of her!
